This Uganda Safari takes you to two of Uganda’s most popular and diverse conservation areas: Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park spans 1,978 km² in the western region of Uganda and was established in 1952. It is classified as a mix of savanna, humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands. The park is bisected by the equator and features a vast array of wildlife and scenic landscapes.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to over 600 species of birds and 95 species of mammals, including African elephants, lions (famed for their tree-climbing habits in the Ishasha sector), Ugandan kobs, hippos, leopards, and chimpanzees. The park’s diverse ecosystems include the Maramagambo Forest, the Kyambura Gorge, and the famous Kazinga Channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
Lake Mburo National Park, located in the western region of Uganda, covers 370 km² and is known for its picturesque landscapes and varied ecosystems, including acacia woodland, wetlands, and savanna. The park is home to 350 bird species and numerous mammals, such as zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and hippos. Lake Mburo itself is one of the five lakes within the park, attracting a variety of wildlife to its shores.

YOUR 5 DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park
After an early breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am. He will also brief you about your 5 Days safari to Lake Mburo National park and Queen Elizabeth National Park, and you will start your journey towards Lake Lake Mburo park. The drive will take approximately 6 hours, passing through beautiful landscapes and towns like Mbarara, where you will have a stopover for lunch. After lunch, proceed to the park, where you will check in and pay for park entry. On your way to the lodge, you may spot some wildlife such as warthogs, baboons, and various bird species. Arrive at your lodge in the evening and have an evening game drive, relax, have dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth Cultural experience
On this day, wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am. Your driver and t will pick you up from the lodge to start your journey to queen Elizabeth National Park, after traveling to the Dave the Cave lodge, you will have lunch, relax and enjoy watching the cultural dances. After you shall visit the Historical cave and cultural Museum, later have dinner and enjoy an overnight stay
Day 3: Swimming in the Transparent lake visit, Forest walk ,Local Banana Gin distillation and crater lake experience.
On this day, wake up early and have breakfast at 7:30 am. Your driver and t will pick you up from the lodge to start your journey to Kashoya Kitomi Forest reserve ,experience local banana Gin(Waragi) Distillation, later swim in the transparent lake after enjoying a hike in the natural forest reserve.
Later, You shall have a twin lake crater experience on your way back to the Eco Lodge, After having lunch we shall walk to the dry crater kyampeyo offering beautiful aerial views of the map of Africa shaped swamp in the crater. After we shall return to the Lodge and relax with lake views, have dinner and enjoy an overnight stay
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip on the Kazinga Channel.
On this day, wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am. Your driver and t will pick you up from the lodge to start your journey to queen Elizabeth National Park, While on the drive, you will have the opportunity to see many animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. After the game drive, around 11:40 am, return to the lodge to relax, freshen up, and have lunch to prepare for the afternoon boat cruise.
The boat ride on the Kazinga Channel will start at 2:00 pm. During this cruise, you will see numerous Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the banks of the channel, as well as different beautiful birds, some singing in the trees, such as the bee-eaters, colored kingfishers, and the shoebill stork. The boat ride offers a great chance to observe wildlife up close and take stunning photos. Return to the lodge in the evening, have dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure/Return to Kampala
Enjoy your breakfast; thereafter proceed for Chimpanzee Tracking in the morning on your way back to Kampala. It will be a great time as you look out for various chimp species, later have a stop in Mbarara for lunch, and continue with the journey, reaching Kampala in the evening.
